Seems all I do is ride Pipestone, like being in heaven. At Pipestone at 12 noon at RRxing parking. Would like to ride the Slab ride today.

Winter Biking

Where is the winter in this winter biking? We went to Pipestone yesterday for the 5th consecutive week and rode in almost no snow. There was 2 to 3 inches of new snow higher up but still dry on the lower single track options. 4 of us made the Sunday meeting and had much fun.

Pipestone was fantastic yesterday! Looking even better for this coming weekend. It was great having a mix of different cities riders there.

Very warm morning here in Butte, Montana. We are really hurting for snow but that is making MTB riding all that much better. I'm hoping to get all the Anaconda guys out for some night riding.

60 degree day in Thompson Park area. This is lower part of new trail system being built by USFS and Butte-Silverbow.

2011 Butte 100

Well it's that time again, time to start work for the 2011 Butte 100. This coming years race will have a few changes, changes that will help everyone have a great time and a very rewarding experience. The 100 mile option course will see the biggest change as we will go to a 2 50 mile lap format. The course will be the existing 50 mile course. Aid stations will be approx. 10 miles apart and we will have Aid station to aid station GPS with a video. We are planing on once again having mile markers through out the course. Another big change is in the awards, we will be paying 5 deep and in both the 100 mile and the 50 mile. Also this will be a 3 day event, a Friday afternoon racer mandatory meeting with packet pickup, Saturday of course is the race, Sunday will be Awards presentations with a breakfast.
Both race options will start within 30 minutes of each other starting at 6am.
No more same day entries, entry deadline will be pre-race meeting Friday afternoon (4pm) That's it for now, more to follow soon.
